Rio Quindio

Because of the rains, we had been warned that the river may not be passable as it was much higher than usual. We crossed the river about six times as we climbed its valley. Some bridges seemed more secure, and this is one of the better ones. It immediately reminded me of the scene from Indiana Jones, and we made our way carefully, one by one across it.
Others seemed more like practice for the circus and were merely one or two logs bound together by barbed wire. In this particular location, a larger bridge had been washed out.
The balancing act!
The Rio Quindio rushing it´s way down the valley...

But it was all worth it with bathing holes and waterfalls like this one!
